Welcome to the fourth edition of the "Off the Beaten Path" festival, which will take place between August 4-7, 2022 in Gotse Delchev and Kovachevitsa, Bulgaria.

The festival programs this year will focus on chamber music with flute and harp. You will hear works by the French composers Camille Saint-Saens, Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Gabriel Faure, as well as their contemporaries George Enescu and Amy Beech, whose works are deeply influenced by French music. In addition, you you will hear several Bulgarian premieres by contemporary composers — Misericordia for Flute and String Quartet by the Japanese composer Yuko Uebayashi, who will arrive in Kovachevitsa especially for the festival, and Rumania! by American composer Daniel Paget. You will also hear work by the Bulgarian composers Dobrinka Tabakova (who will attend the event) and Pancho Vladigeroff.

This year we are featuring the world-renowned flutist Carol Wincenc, who will appear in Bulgaria for the first time as well as the solo harpist of the Orchestra Philharmonique de Radio France in Paris Nicolas Tulliez. You will hear them in various combinations with their Bulgarian colleagues who perform at the festival regularly.

Our partners have special offers for the festival guests. Explore the special packages: Uva Nestum Spa and Therma Vitae Ognyanovo. If you are looking to spend the weekend in French style, take a look at Garmen Hills, our new partner.
